The Barony Of Coldstone & Migvie 

The Barony Of  Coldstone & Migvie, held historically by the Earls Of Mar and then the Duke of Fife, held at one time in excess of 100,000 acres or 150 square miles in Scotland, with the centre of the Barony held at Migvie castle, a historical meeting place for Scottish leaders, between the valleys of the Dee and the Don in the district of Aberdeenshire in the Royal Deeside. 

The Barony of Logie -Coldstone & Migvie traces its Royal Legacy Lineages from HRH Queen Victoria through her grandchildren, The Princess Alexandra, Duchess of Fife ( later known as The HRH Princess Arthur of Connaught)   and HRH Queen Victoria's other granddaughter, HRH The Princess Patricia of Connaught. 

Princess Alexandra inherited the Mar Lodge Estates and Barony of  Logie-Coldstone & Migvie and other Lands and Titles from her father The Duke of Fife.

 


HRH Princess Arthur of Connaught disponed the Barony along with Mar Lodge and its Estates and all Titles and Lands held therein, to her nephew, Captain Alexander Arthur Alfonso David Maule Ramsay of Mar, the son of her husbands youngest sister, HRH Princess Patricia of Connaught, and who's father, Admiral  Sir Alexander Robert Maule  Ramsay, was the 3rd son of the 13th earl of Dalhousie.

The Ramsay Estate has disponed the Barony of Coldstone & Migvie to the current Baron, who has had a lifelong commitment to upholding his family's advancement of Scots, English and French Culture,  International Philanthropy, Environmental Awareness, and Global Citizenry.

 

Legacy
The Barony of Coldstone, is amongst the oldest and most distinguished noble Baronies in Scotland.  The Barony carries honoured legacies with King Robert the Bruce of Scotland and two of HRH Queen Victoria's Grandaughters, and one Great Grandson.  The current Baron holds direct lineages to several ancient ruling dynasties: King Robert II of Scotland , King Edward III House of Plantagenet, Countessa Jean de Valois de Hainault Countessa of Hainault, Holland and Zeeland, Queen Isabella Capet de France, Philippe III le Hardi de Capet Roi de France, and King Philippe IV "le Bel de Capet Roi de France - distinguished original Households of The  Kings of France, England and Scotland.

The  Barony of Coldston & Migvie, which includes the Braes of Cromar, Logie-Coldstone, & Migvie is one of the three original 12th Century Baronies of Braemar, Strathdee & Cromar in the Earldom of Mar. The Earldom of Mar is one of oldest Earldoms in Scotland and currently held by the Duke of Fife.

The current Baron of Coldstone honours his family's noble heritage and is actively engaged in philanthropy and international affairs and encouraging active spaces for research into Neuroscience,  Genetics and Artificial Intelligence.
